The MUD Connector - Text Games and MUD List

The MUD Connector is a long-running directory and community hub for MUDs, MUSHes, MOOs and other text-based online roleplaying games. The website maintains a large mudlist with hundreds of free fantasy, science fiction, custom and roleplay-focused text games, giving players a way to discover active worlds that can be played through traditional MUD clients or telnet-style connections.

Visitors can browse recent MUD submissions, search the mudlist, read game descriptions, compare codebases and themes, and follow updates from game administrators. The site also includes forums, reviews, resources and information for people who enjoy text-based multiplayer worlds. Game entries commonly describe the setting, codebase, mechanics, accessibility, roleplay expectations and development status, which helps players choose a world before connecting.

The MUD Connector remains centered on a niche but enduring part of online gaming culture. It is practical for players looking for classic multi-user dungeon experiences, administrators who want visibility for their worlds, and anyone researching the history and current state of text games, fantasy roleplaying communities and interactive fiction-style multiplayer play.
